FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What depth are the posts set?

Our fence installs include posts set at 3' feet deep with 5' ft 9" inches on center, with 5500 PSI extra high strength concrete.

  • What posts are used for your projects?

The fence posts we install are 2 3/8" inch galvanized heavy-duty pipe post for wood fence installations. For a typical wrought iron installation, we would use anywhere from 1" to 2" post depending on the style chosen and strength needed.

  • What type of pickets are used for your wood fences?

Wood fences installed by Vorsaw Fencing can be either pine, treated pine, western red cedar, or japonica cedar with a side by side or board on board style, and horizontal or vertical picket orientation.

  • What screws and/or nails do you use?

Grip-Rite Galvanized and Zinc Coated Nails

  • Do you use appearance grade material?

Yes, we use only the best #1 and clear quality cedar pickets. #1 Cedar has the typical knots seen on fencing, while clear cedar does not have the normal knots.

  • Is staining my fence recommended?

Absolutely, our recommendation is to stain your fence 2 weeks to 4 weeks after your fence install has completed. We offer ReadySeal stain and other local products. Ask us about our staining service!

  • Do you install pre-stained fencing?

Yes, we will install pre-stained fence products as this is a more affordable option in some cases.

  • Do you only install and repair fences and gates?

No, we offer many other services. All our services pertain to the interior and exterior of your home, enhancing its beauty and functionality.
